This family-owned center offers a hands-on cooking class, a bird trail and a butterfly farm. On the weekends, they offer a great lunch and recently, on most Friday evenings a special themed dinner.

The Tzib family lives in the heart of San Antonio village and offer a hands-on cooking class/culinary experience under a palapa outside their house. It’s really great and they are lovely people. The sons, Abdon and Frank are two in a new generation of Yucatec Maya helping to keep Maya culture “alive.” Frank also will teach Maya hieroglyphic writing if you like.

Located just before entering the village when driving from San Ignacio, this coffee farm is where the Mesh family grows, roasts and grinds coffee all without electricity. Go for a tour and tasting experience as well as turning the roasting drum and grinding on the molcajete yourself.
